The BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe 2023 is 34 of a foot longer than the regular coupe variant at 23.1 cm. Instead of the weightlifter’s lungs, which have recently been popular in Bavaria, the grille up front is more like the kidneys of old. It was painted to match, creating a very subtle and fashionable appearance on the nose.

Illumination Function

When you open the doors, the Iconic Glow automated illumination function turns on in the grille. It is mounted on gorgeous 20-inch light alloy wheels. Only the back somewhat falls short. There are too many angles, slashes, and indents, as if someone decided after the fact that something beautiful should also seem a little more aggressive when it wasn’t actually necessary. It doesn’t seem disgusting, but rather like it belongs on an other car.

Design

The interior of the car has ivory white merino leather upholstery, which is both supple to the touch and even softer underneath, if you will. Two drivers’ seat positions can be stored in memory. Standard ambient lighting illuminates the door sills and dashboard’s edges. The gran coupe has three seats instead of the ordinary coupe’s four, and those three passengers will have more legroom as a result of the additional 23.1 cm.

Run-flat tires, enhanced Bluetooth with wireless charging, front and rear heated seats, sun protection glass, four-zone climate control, high-beam assistance, a M Sport leather steering wheel, and M Sport exterior styling are all included as standard features that you can get for no extra cost. And a caution triangle, too.

Infotainment System

When it comes to infotainment, BMW is a little peculiar. Although many of its more recent models are cutting-edge, this one has a more conventional screen setup that is substantially broader than it is tall. It is not small at 12.3 inches, but it also doesn’t feel contemporary enough for the automobile.

Engine

The 3.0-liter, six-cylinder inline engine produces a lot of power, 333 horsepower to be exact, which, despite being only half as powerful as the full number, still feels like a beast. The rear-wheel drive system is a thrill, especially when you switch to Sport mode. Although the automobile accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.4 seconds, its true strength is in the cruise, largely because of the cabin’s comfort.

The 840i’s design and functions are surprising for a vehicle that is nearly five meters long.
