1. Quito Old Town

The historic district of Quito is its old town. It has been designated a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site due to the preservation of its Colonial squares, local businesses, restaurants, and colourful buildings along uphill cobblestone streets. Begin in Plaza Grande, which also houses the Presidential Palace. This centre square is ideal for pedestrian exploration.
